Job summary

Cello Square by Samsung SDS Europe is seeking a Commercial Procurement Manager to oversee tendering, RFQ/RFI processes, and supplier onboarding across Europe.

You will align with Business Development, Solutions Design, Legal, Finance, IT and HR to translate needs into procurement requirements, manage risk, compliance, and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Logistics/SCM.
• ≥5 years purchasing/implementation experience in logistics.
• Strong English, MS Office, ERP/e-procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RFIs and RFQs and ensure successful execution.
• Coordinate cross-department procurement requirements with stakeholders.
• Ensure data integrity in procurement systems and compliance.
• Onboard suppliers and manage supplier risk.
• Place purchase orders and monitor delivery times.

Job description

Execute and coordinate Logistics warehousing, commodity, MHE tenders and contract process, investments and enable decision making in order to achieve the optimum balance between service and pricing. Tender management for our European organization involves RFQ’s for 16 countries in Europe with a focus on Warehousing, Contracts & Investments varying in value between €50K and €20+ million per tender. Next to that, execute business simulations and benchmarks regarding (internal) business development in order to find required SCM solutions and anticipate on market trends and business opportunities

Role and Responsibilities

Commercial Procurement Management & Sourcing

• Lead and participate in procurement processes: Manage RFI and RFQ processes from end to end and ensure their successful execution as well as implementation.
• Cross-departmental alignment: Act as a procurement partner for other departments (Business Development, Solutions Design, Project Management, Legal, Finance/Cost Control, IT, Contract Management, and HR) to effectively translate business needs into procurement requirements.

Systems, Processes & Compliance

• Data integrity and logging: Correctly and timely process, document, and record all procurement processes within the designated systems.
• Compliance: Act strictly in accordance with internal compliance guidelines and procurement procedures of Samsung SDS.
• Onboarding: Manage or facilitate the registration and correct onboarding of new suppliers in the systems.
• Risk management: Where applicable, perform or initiate credit checks on suppliers in accordance with internal guidelines.
• Operational follow-up: Where applicable, place purchase orders and monitor delivery times.
• Escalation management: Intervene or escalat

Knowledge Management & Market Research

• Maintain and share expertise: Systematically keep professional knowledge up to date and proactively share this with relevant colleagues and stakeholders, specifically focusing on:
• Market and product developments.
• Price indexations.
• Requirements of stakeholders within the own organization.
• Guidelines and specifications regarding goods and services.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Logistics/SCM
• At least 5 years of experience on purchasing and/or implementation in logistics, architectural and facility environment. Preferably experience at a multicultural international.
• SCM & Logistics knowledge, with a strong preference for Warehousing and Supply chain
• Self-starting capabilities and strong stakeholder management skills
• Proficient level of English (written and verbal)
• Very good MS Office skills (mainly Excel and Power point)
• Experience with ERP, e-procurements, procurement bidding systems
• NEVI 1 and 2 is a pre
• Ability to travel (less than 20%).
• Extensive experience in Logistics / Supply Chain contract management and strong result driven mindset;
• Strong communication, persuasion, negotiation and analytical skills;
• Flexible problem-solver with a strong hands-on mentality;
• Logistics and facility background or similar
• Concept mentality, knowledge of real estate acquisition, process engineering, QHSE, permits and technical environments, consumables;
• Conceptual thinker with the perseverance to finish what you start;
• Knows how to manage stakeholders;
• Excellent planning and organizing skills.
