Job summary

Samsung SDS seeks a Quality Manager to lead the site’s QMS and DMS, coordinate audits, and ensure compliance with customer and company requirements at the Born site. You will drive continuous improvement across logistics operations, optimize inventory planning and collaborate with cross-site teams.

The role requires a HBO/Bachelor’s in Quality Management or related field with several years of quality control/assurance experience in warehousing or supply chains, plus familiarity with ISO 9001,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Quality Management or related field.
• Several years of experience in Quality Management/Assurance in logistics, warehousing or supply chain.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and QMS.
• Experience conducting internal and certification audits.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, CAPA, RCA).
• Willingness to take ownership and drive improvements.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain and improve the site’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Own and develop the local Document Management System (DMS).
• Coordinate internal audits and support certification/audits; follow up on findings.
• Monitor quality performance and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Identify opportunities to align QM practices across sites and develop standard procedures.
• Support other sites with QM, ISO certifications and quality requirements.
• Participate in European Quality and OPEX projects and work with regional stakeholders.
• Initiate and drive quality improvements from idea to implementation.
• Develop standards, tools and ways of working to improve quality and operations.
• Challenge operations to improve quality, address root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to Born site's development as a QM/certification benchmark.

Job description

Samsung SDS is the global IT and logistics arm of the Samsung Group, operating in over 40 countries. Through our smart logistics platform, Cello, we deliver innovative supply chain solutions to leading companies worldwide optimizing everything from transport to warehouse operations.

The Quality Manager plays a key role in leading and improving all quality‑related processes within Samsung SDS’s warehouse and logistics operations. This role ensures full compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations, while driving continuous improvement across the site. Their role is also to maximize the operational efficiency of logistics resources and enhance customer satisfaction with logistics services by managing the appropriate inventory of the logistics center and establishing a warehousing and shipping plan based on the volume of materials mobilization.

What will you do?

• Own, maintain and continuously improve the site’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Own and further develop the local Document Management System (DMS).
• Coordinate internal audits and support certification and customer audits, ensuring effective follow-up of findings.
• Monitor quality performance and ensure compliance with customer and company requirements.
• Identify opportunities to align QM practices and develop common procedures, standards, tools and best practices across sites.
• Support other sites with QM, ISO certifications and customer-specific quality requirements where relevant.
• Participate in selected European Quality and OPEX projects and initiatives and build relationships with relevant regional stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and initiate quality improvement opportunities and corrective actions, and help drive them from idea through implementation.
• Develop practical standards, tools and ways of working that improve quality and operational performance.
• Challenge and support operational teams to improve quality performance, address root causes and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Born site as a benchmark for QM and certification compliance within Samsung SDS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) or higher in Quality Management, Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Several years of relevant experience in Quality Management or Assurance within logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
• A solid understanding of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.
• Experience conducting internal audits and coordinating certification audits.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, CAPA and Root Cause Analysis.
• The willingness to take ownership, challenge existing ways of working and turn opportunities into concrete results.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Dutch is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and occasionally within Europe.
