Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions is seeking an Engineer I to collaborate with engineers and chemists on process and product development. The role focuses on launching brand-new chemistries to support growth in semiconductor markets, scaling up products from lab to production.

The candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, coordinating with teams to ensure quality, safety, and timely product launches while following ISO standards and internal processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience; 3 years preferred.
• Pilot production or scale-up experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Makes and packages lab/pilot scale batches following instructions and safe lab practices.
• Operates related equipment to move products from lab to production scale.
• Reviews orders including raw materials availability to meet ship dates.
• Carries out experiments and communicates results to stakeholders.
• Supports scaling production from pilot to high-volume manufacturing with robust instructions and training.
