Job summary

Motus Integrated Technologies in Holland, MI seeks a hands-on Process Engineer to improve manufacturing processes for safety, quality and cost. You will test methods, analyze variability, and train operators to implement best practices.

Requirements include a BS in Plastics/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, 2+ years in process manufacturing, and strong statistical analysis; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred. Leadership is essential.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Maplewood Facility for a hands-on problem solver who is excited about taking Motus to the NEXT level. TheProcess Engineerwill be responsible for improving manufacturing processes and methods for safety, quality and cost improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Improves manufacturing processes and methods for safety, quality and cost improvement.
• Increases efficiency by analyzing processes to identify and reduce variation.
• Tests proposed manufacturing methods and processes; confers with material vendors; solicits observations from operators; trains employees in proper methods.
• Assures product and process quality by testing finished product and process capabilities; establishes standards; confirms manufacturing processes.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
• Optimizes processes by statistically analyzing inputs and outputs; follows material vendor's instructions and established procedures; requests special services as needed.
• Coordinates the launch of new/revised products including: establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
• Prepares and maintains process documentation.
• Project manages engineering projects to ensure commitments and deadlines are exceeded.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, and / or relevant and equivalent professional experience
• 2+ years of experience with process manufacturing environment, methods and procedures
• Statistical analysis abilities
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills
