Job summary

LeapSpace is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own agentic retrieval and orchestration, guiding the engine at the heart of the product. You will shape sequencing across teams, manage transitions from prototype to production, and align cross-functional groups to deliver increasingly capable AI-driven research tools.

You will work with a team spanning engineering, data science, and platform groups, reporting to leadership for LeapSpace, while expanding the engine to new sources and workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and shipping complex AI or data-intensive products with ownership of strategy and delivery.
• Experience leading product management, engineering leadership, or applied AI with multi-team coordination.
• Deep expertise in generative AI products, including retrieval and agentic workflows.
• Proven ability to drive product strategy across multiple engineering organisations and dependencies.
• Strong go-to-market experience and evidence of data-driven evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for agentic retrieval and orchestration across teams.
• Lead migration of engine capabilities from prototype to production with staged releases.
• Translate prototype behaviour into engineering-ready tickets with clear acceptance criteria.
• Keep multiple squads informed ahead of change; align UX, design, and data science impacts.
• Collaborate with partner teams across Elsevier on capabilities that span products.
