Job summary

SiTime Corporation is a precision timing company seeking a Principal MEMS Development Engineer to push MEMS technology and engineer resonators for next‑generation timing products.

You will lead challenging projects, design MEMS devices, analyze their performance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across circuits, systems, and packaging. A PhD with 3+ years of experience is preferred, along with strong simulation and data skills.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in ME, EE, Physics or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of industry experience.
• Skilled scientist with ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments.
• Excellent problem identification and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge in MEMS device physics and fabrication.
• Experience with simulation tools (COMSOL, ANSYS) and data processing (Matlab, Python).
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition and execution of challenging technical projects.
• Advise management of challenges, impact, recommendations.
• Develop new or improved resonators, MEMS technologies and/or products.
• Design MEMS devices and characterize their electrical, mechanical, and thermal performance.
• Work with process team to drive MEMS yields improvements.
• Extend and enhance automated infrastructure for MEMS design, measurements, and data analysis.
• Design and analyze experiments to understand device physics, materials, and fabrication.
• Interface with local and overseas vendors.
• Work in cross-functional teams, including circuits, systems, and packaging.
• Work on supporting other projects as needed.
