Principal Engineer — AI-Native Platform & Standards

Suitsupply; Amsterdam; Hybrid; EUR 140.000 - 200.000; Vollzeit

Zusammenfassung

Suitsupply in Amsterdam is looking for a Principal Engineer to design, build, and ship with our teams, setting engineering standards across domains and ensuring adoption in code, pipelines, and AI-native ways of working.

You will split time between accelerating internal projects and driving cross-cutting standards, partnering with Tech Leads and Engineering Managers to raise the bar without direct reports.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of engineering with staff- or principal-level scope at a strong product or tech company.
• Experience across at least three domains — not a single silo.
• Hands-on across the stack and shipping code weekly; proficient in at least one: .NET and Azure event-driven backends, large-scale commerce ecosystems, or integration and data platforms.
• Established standards across teams via tooling, guardrails and examples, not decks.
• Experience leading without direct reports; final authority on domain standards.

Aufgaben

• Set the cross-cutting standards backlog for domains and enforce them in code and deployment.
• Design, prototype and build on hard cross-team problems including migrations, integrations and foundations.
• Jump-start delivery by leading technical discovery and shaping the initial implementation with teams.
• Embed with teams to raise the bar in place, pairing with Tech Leads and Engineering Managers.
• Enforce standards through systems, PR guardrails and automated checks for scalable adoption.
• Drive agentic, AI-native development as the default working mode with Engineering Managers.
• Cover gaps by stepping into teams without a Tech Lead to maintain delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with Engineering Leadership on domain architecture; scale standard adoption.
