Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead complex data platform initiatives and shape enterprise-wide data architecture. You will deliver end-to-end data solutions on Databricks and the Azure cloud, embed with multiple teams, and raise engineering standards while mentoring engineers across levels.

The role reports to the Global Head of Data Architecture & Engineering, with a hybrid/remote location and time-zone flexibility across US/EMEA.

Qualifications

• Extensive data engineering experience delivering production-grade data platforms.
• Near-expert Databricks and Azure experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising team standards.
• Experience designing end-to-end data architectures for enterprise-scale environments.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data architectures for ingestion, storage, transformation, serving, and governance.
• Embed with Data Engineering teams to accelerate delivery and uplift capabilities.
• Mentor engineers through reviews, design sessions, and coaching to develop senior contributors.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Platform, AI, Analytics, Security, and Governance to integrate data work across the landscape.
