Job summary

Eye Security in the Netherlands is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Specialist to shape research, innovation, and thought leadership. You will blend deep technical expertise with original research and emerging technologies such as AI to tackle complex security challenges and influence products and operations.

You will work with Security Operations, Product, and Engineering, translating research into practical outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in cybersecurity and knowledge of threat actors and TTPs.
• Expertise in one or more cybersecurity domains (offensive security, threat research, vulnerability research, threat hunting, malware analysis, detection engineering, incident response, or related fields).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write technical content.
• Ability to translate complex research into clear, engaging insights.

Responsibilities

• Perform research in one or more strategic areas that align with Eye Security and our customers.
• Help drive adoption of new ideas, tooling, and outcomes across the organization.
• Represent Eye Security externally through talks, blog posts, and industry engagement.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Product, and Engineering to ensure meaningful impact.
• Take research from question to prototype to handover using modern tooling (LLMs, agent frameworks, AI coding assistants).
• Perform offensive security research, vulnerability research, and investigations into emerging threats.
• Contribute to tooling, automations, and research-driven capabilities to strengthen Eye Security’s products and services.
• Explore how emerging technologies, such as AI, can improve cybersecurity outcomes.
