Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead EHS advisory projects in the Dutch market, partnering with industrial clients to improve safety performance, risk management, and sustainability outcomes.

You will deliver audits, risk assessments, and safety improvement programmes, develop management systems, and grow client relationships, with a focus on PSM and ISO standards; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in EHS consulting and/or industrial operations.
• Strong experience in EHS auditing, compliance, operational risk management, and safety performance improvement.
• Ability to engage confidently with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Experience in PSM, contractor management, safety leadership, ISO14001 and ISO45001, or major hazard industries is highly valued.

• Supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) and contractor management initiatives.

• Advising clients on the integration of EHS and sustainability objectives.
• Managing projects and building long‑term client relationships.

As a Principal Consultant, you will also contribute to business development activities and help grow ERM's presence within the Dutch market.

What We Are Looking For
