Ramboll Nederland seeks a Senior Consultant to lead permitting projects and Environmental Impact Assessments for new developments or expansions. You will advise on environmental legislation and coordinate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams.

Join Ramboll Delft in a CST Benelux team, contributing to offshore wind, energy transition, and other projects across Europe and the US. Candidates should have 5+ years in consultancy, a relevant degree, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Relevant consultancy experience (5+ years) with independent project/task ownership.
• Strong understanding of Netherlands permitting and EIA procedures.
• Fluent Dutch and English for client interaction and coordination.

Responsibilities

Senior Consultant - Planning and Permitting

Join our Compliance, Sustainability and Transactions (CST) Department as our new Senior Consultant and work with us towards a sustainable future.

For this position, we are looking for a person who proven experience with Dutch permitting. You are fluent in Dutch language, enabling you to hold your own during consultations and coordination with both clients and the competent authorities and third parties.

Your new role

Ramboll Nederland is looking for a driven and resourceful candidate to advise clients on permit applications and environmental impact assessments (EIAs). This includes expert advice on environmental legislation relating to new or expanding industrial activities. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Leading and delivering workstreams on small to large-scale permitting projects and Environmental Impact Assessments for various sectors, with responsibility for planning, coordination, quality, and timely delivery;
• Liaising directly with clients, contractors, regulators, and other professionals on all relevant areas of our projects, acting as a key point of contact for defined scopes of work and helping drive projects forward;
• Drafting and reviewing (subcontractor) reports, collaborating with other team members, synthesising technical inputs into coherent deliverables;
• Assisting in the preparation of proposals including scope definition, methodology input, and technical writing;
• Coordinating support studies and other deliverables ensuring alignment with wider project objectives and helping integrate multidisciplinary inputs into a clear overall project approach;
• Providing environmental compliance support to other disciplines, including environmental management systems, compliance reviews, and due diligence services,;
• Liaising with clients, regulators, and internal project teams, with a high standard of clarity, accuracy, and professional judgement.

Your new team

You will be part of the CST Department at Ramboll Delft, where we work on various permitting, EIA and compliance projects for our diverse clients. We are also involved in permitting and planning evaluations and feasibility studies for offshore wind parks, hydrogen pipeline networks, carbon capture and other renewable energy and energy transition projects. You will play an essential role within the Ramboll CST Benelux team (Dutch & Belgium offices) and collaborate with colleague’s form across Europe and the US in defining and delivering on multiple projects involving international clients.

• High degree of independence, initiative, and solution-oriented thinking, with the ability to structure work, manage priorities, and support the delivery of complex projects;
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, combined with the ability to see the bigger picture and contribute to well-structured, high-quality outputs;
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in Dutch and English, with confidence in client interaction, stakeholder coordination, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
