ERM is seeking a commercially driven Partner to accelerate growth across the Private Equity and Financial Services sector in the Netherlands.

This is a high-profile opportunity for an established consulting leader with a proven track record of winning and growing business within the investment community. We are looking for a seller-doer who brings deep market credibility, established client relationships and the ability to generate significant revenue through trusted advisor relationships.

The successful candidate will play a leading role in expanding ERM’s presence with Private Equity firms, infrastructure investors, portfolio companies, lenders and financial institutions. They will leverage their network and market reputation to originate opportunities, develop strategic client relationships and position ERM as a trusted partner throughout the investment lifecycle.

Our ambition is to significantly expand our market share across ESG and EHS due diligence, sustainability strategy, climate and decarbonisation, portfolio company value creation, operational improvement and exit readiness.

Your impact

• Grow ERM’s Private Equity and Financial Services business in the Netherlands.
• Build trusted relationships with Private Equity firms, infrastructure funds, investment managers, lenders and portfolio companies.
• Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities across transaction support, ESG integration, sustainability strategy and portfolio value creation.
• Expand opportunities across operational excellence, sustainable operations, capital project development, infrastructure investment, business transformation and risk management programmes.
• Position ERM as a strategic advisor to investors and management teams.
• Build relationships not only with deal teams and investment professionals, but also with operating partners, portfolio company executives, boards and lenders.
• Win new client relationships and expand opportunities across ERM’s broader service offerings.
• Collaborate with ERM’s global network of experts to deliver multidisciplinary solutions.
• Sponsor strategic client engagements and ensure exceptional client outcomes.
• Make a significant contribution to ERM’s commercial growth ambitions within the Netherlands and broader European market.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Growth

• Develop and execute a targeted growth strategy focused on the Private Equity and Financial Services market.
• Leverage an established network of investors, operating partners, portfolio company executives and financial institutions to generate new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers across the investment ecosystem.
• Develop trusted relationships with investment professionals, operating partners, portfolio company CEOs, CFOs, COOs and sustainability leaders.
• Identify client needs and connect them with ERM’s global sustainability, transaction advisory, climate and operational improvement capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to introduce ERM’s broader capabilities, including capital project delivery, permitting, environmental and social impact assessment, EHS, sustainable operations, decarbonisation, digital transformation and business value creation services.
• Create, develop and convert a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Lead strategic account development and client expansion initiatives.
• Consistently achieve ambitious sales and revenue targets.

Private Equity & Portfolio Company Advisory

• Advise investors and portfolio companies on sustainability-related risks and opportunities.
• Support clients across the investment lifecycle, including due diligence, ownership and exit preparation.
• Advise portfolio company leadership teams on growth, operational performance, risk management, sustainability integration and long-term value creation strategies.
• Help investors identify and deliver portfolio value creation opportunities.
• Support sustainability transformation, operational improvement and climate-related initiatives across portfolio companies.
• Champion integrated solutions that drive both business performance and sustainability outcomes.
• Support infrastructure investors and financial institutions navigating energy transition, digital infrastructure, industrial transformation and other complex investment themes requiring multidisciplinary advisory support.

Market Leadership

• Build ERM’s visibility and reputation within the Dutch Private Equity and Financial Services market.
• Develop ERM’s profile as a leading advisor to investors seeking both sustainability outcomes and commercial value creation.
• Represent ERM at industry events and client forums.
• Strengthen collaboration across ERM’s European and global Private Equity community.

What you will bring

• Significant experience in consulting, transaction advisory, sustainability advisory, Private Equity, investment management or a related professional services environment.
• A proven track record of originating and growing advisory revenues within the Private Equity and Financial Services sector.
• Deep relationships with Private Equity firms, investment funds, operating partners, lenders and portfolio company leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to win and expand strategic client relationships.
• Experience advising clients on ESG, EHS, sustainability, value creation, operational improvement, transformation or transaction-related services.
• Experience working with investors, portfolio companies or financial institutions on operational performance, business transformation, infrastructure investment, risk management or strategic growth initiatives would be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Credibility with senior stakeholders including investment professionals, operating partners, CEOs, CFOs and boards.
• Demonstrated ability to engage both deal teams and portfolio company leadership teams, translating sustainability and operational challenges into commercially relevant business outcomes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary global business.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is highly desirable.
