Job summary

PwC Nederland is seeking a Senior Associate ESG Assurance to audit CSRD and ESG reporting for major clients, mainly large (listed) companies. You will join a dedicated sustainability audit team and support PwC's broader audit practice while developing into an ESG specialist.

You will work in a collaborative, open environment with opportunities for growth, regular team events, and a focus on delivering high-quality assurance work within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Post-master's Registered Accountancy course (started or completed)
• 3+ years of relevant working experience
• Affinity with sustainability and ESG reporting and assurance thereof
• Experience in performing audit work independently, and coaching less experienced team members
• Fluency in both English and Dutch

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan and implement an assurance plan for corporate ESG information.
• Review CSRD reporting / ESG information and KPI figures (e.g., carbon emissions) for clients.
• Develop yourself on ESG reporting guidelines such as CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy and GHG Protocol.
• Present and make recommendations on ESG reporting questions with colleagues.
• Perform smaller engagements for clients, such as workshops and CSRD readiness assessments.

By being a part of a committed core team of sustainability auditors and working closely together with the wider ESG Reporting team you will audit CSRD reporting for our major clients, and support audit teams to get the other clients ready.

As a Senior Consultant (RA), you will audit the CSRD and other ESG reporting of our clients; mostly large (listed) companies. These projects have tight deadlines and require methodologically strong choices. For clients, you are part of the assurance team under the supervision of a manager and you audit ESG information. You will also support PwC's broad auditing practice and learn to conduct client interviews as an ESG specialist.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Working together in a team to develop, plan and implement an assurance plan for corporate ESG information.
• Review CSRD reporting / ESG information at companies, for example KPI’s such as carbon emissions of a client with technical installations or safety incidents in an international environment.
• Develop yourself on ESG reporting guidelines such as CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy and GHG Protocol.
• Present and make recommendations on ESG reporting related questions with colleagues.
• Perform smaller other engagements for our clients, such as workshops and CSRD readiness assessments.
