GlobalFoundries in Eindhoven seeks a Principal MTS – Software Engineering with a strong AI compiler architecture focus to lead production-ready toolchains for heterogeneous compute platforms. You will define interfaces, roadmaps and architectural directions spanning front-end model import, graph transforms, IRs, optimization and code generation.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-functional collaboration, and align compiler work with accelerator runtimes, firmware and hardware architectures.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive compiler development experience with ownership or architecture responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of compiler design, IRs, optimization, analysis and code generation.
• Hands-on experience with LLVM and/or MLIR; proficiency in C++ and Python.

Aufgaben

• Define end-to-end AI compiler and toolchain architecture across the product portfolio.
• Translate use cases into architecture specs, interfaces and roadmaps.
• Lead reviews, risk assessments and proof-of-concept work for new features.
• Collaborate with global teams, partners and customers on integration and requirements.
• Mentor engineers and strengthen architecture practices and standards.
