Job summary

ASML in Veldhoven is seeking a Master’s internship to advance root-cause analysis for scanner performance in lithography systems. You will build an automated dashboard to collect and visualize performance data, apply statistical outlier detection, and translate metrics into predicted on-product performance.

This role involves collaboration across CS ABS and D&E to deploy the solution globally. The ideal candidate is pursuing a Master’s degree in Physics, Data Science, or related engineering

Qualifications

• Master’s student in a technical field such as Physics, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with data analysis and comfortable with complex datasets.
• Programming or scripting experience in any language, preferably MATLAB, or willingness to learn MATLAB.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Strong English communication in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop an automated dashboard to collect, analyze, and visualize scanner performance data.
• Explore statistical methods for automated outlier detection within a scanner population.
• Apply scanner sensitivity models to translate metrics into expected on-product performance and improve prediction accuracy.
• Develop, validate, and roll out the solution for global use by ASML imaging engineers.
