Job summary

Firestone Airide in Arnhem is seeking a Prototype & Test Lab Technician to support the development of new products by ensuring prototype activities are carried out efficiently and accurately. You will help prepare materials, perform dimensional inspections and assemble prototypes according to technical specifications.

Qualifications

• Hbo/ BSc Automotive or similar direction.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers and CMM.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Logistics & Material Handling: manage incoming/outgoing materials in the prototype area, ensure registration and traceability.
• Measurement & Inspection: perform dimensional measurements using calipers, CMM and other metrology tools and verify against drawings.
• Prototype Assembly: assemble prototypes and conduct EOL inspections before release.
• Cross-department collaboration: coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing and Quality to ensure material availability and timely prototype builds.
