Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Public Sector Netherlands. The role focuses on supporting the sales organization in all technical matters, from pre-sales to post-sales training, and acting as the main technical resource on sales calls.

Qualifications

Fluent in Dutch and able to operate in a technical, customer-facing environment.
2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, pre-sales, or cybersecurity.
Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, secure protocols).
Interest in Zero Trust, SASE, and cloud security.
Exposure to IAM, EDR/XDR, SIEM, or willingness to learn them.
Familiar with secure protocols and authentication methods (TLS, IPsec, OAuth, PKI).
Experience securing architectures across hybrid, cloud, or enterprise environments.
Strong communication skills.
Motivated to learn, grow, and make an impact in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint (Pre-sales).
Be the main technical resource on sales calls and educate the customer on features, specifications and functionality to support integration.
Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
Provide post-sales training to identified customers.
