Job summary

Utrecht University’s Developmental Psychology Program invites applications for a 2.5-year postdoc funded by an NWO Open Competition Large grant. The project advances climate education and communication for youth by combining realistic climate information with hope and agency.

You will co-design, prepare, and coordinate research to inform educational professionals. You will publish in peer‑reviewed journals and disseminate findings, while being mentored to grow an independent research program and

Qualifications

• PhD in psychology, education, communication, prevention science or a related discipline.
• Proven ability to address original and innovative research questions with rigorous methods.
• Experience with mixed-methods research is advantageous.
• Proactive, collaborative and creative approach to work.
• Excellent English writing and presentation skills; Dutch proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Co-design, prepare, and coordinate research within the FUTUREPROOF team.
• Write peer-reviewed publications and disseminate knowledge to professionals.
• Mentor and develop an independent research program with grant opportunities.
• Collaborate across psychology, education and communication science.
