Job summary

Delft University of Technology invites applications for a 36-month postdoc in Whole Life Cycle design for climate-responsive buildings. The role leads development of a WLC decision-support framework within the Horizon Europe WEAVE project.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, municipalities and industry partners to advance climate-responsive, circular, low-carbon renovation strategies and contribute to design methods and digital tools used across Europe.

Qualifications

• Affinity with sustainability standards, LCA, and circular economy in construction.
• Motivation to develop innovative methods for sustainable and resilient building renovation.
• Experience with research acquisition and project management.
• Strong analytical skills and interest in interdisciplinary research.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good planning, scientific rigour and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a Whole Life Cycle decision-support framework for climate-responsive buildings.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, municipalities and industry partners across Europe.
• Develop methodologies for climate-responsive in-between spaces and circular renovation strategies.
• Support editorial activities, project acquisition and conference organisation for the research group.
