Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Human–AI Interaction and Risk-minimizing Digital Design in Gambling. The project combines HCI, Generative AI, behavioural research and participatory design to improve how online gambling platforms communicate risk information and product features.

You will develop AI-supported research tools, conduct user studies with diverse participants, and translate findings into evidence‑based design

Qualifications

• PhD completed or near completion in a relevant field such as HCI, CS, psychology, or data science.
• Strong record of peer‑reviewed publications or equivalent outputs.
• Proficient in Python; experience building interactive systems or prototyping.
• Experience with AI methods (LLMs, generative AI) or capacity to rapidly acquire these skills.
• Experience with usability evaluation and both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Interest in responsible technology design, digital well‑being, or risk communication.
• Ability to manage research projects independently while collaborating with diverse partners.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead research activities in HCI and AI for the Ui-PRIG project.
• Design and conduct user studies (walkthroughs, interviews, co‑design workshops).
• Develop KanLab and KanScan tools and validate them against expert assessments.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data; translate findings into design recommendations.
• Publish research findings and contribute to open‑source tools.
