EMEA Recruitment in Amsterdam is partnering with an established international investment business to appoint a Portfolio Finance Manager. The role focuses on analysing investment performance, improving visibility of financial results and supporting commercial and investment decisions.

You will refine how financial data is collected, analyzed and presented, driving efficiency, automation and smarter data use.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Around 10+ years’ relevant finance experience in finance roles such as FP&A, Portfolio Finance or Investment analysis.
• Exposure to Private Equity or investment management environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to explain the commercial story behind financial results.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis and financial modelling.
• Advanced Excel skills and an interest in data, reporting and automation.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with senior finance and investment professionals.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with curiosity to improve information.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the financial performance of investments and identify key trends, risks and performance drivers.
• Provide clear financial insight to support senior stakeholders and investment-related decisions.
• Prepare and develop regular performance and management reporting.
• Review forecasts, budgets and cash flow information across the portfolio.
• Support financial analysis relating to valuations and investment performance.
• Develop reporting tools and dashboards to improve quality and accessibility of financial information.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing finance and reporting processes.
• Build strong relationships with senior finance contacts across the portfolio.
• Support investor-related financial reporting and performance analysis.
• Contribute to wider Finance projects and reporting requirements.
