Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking a PMO Director for its largest offshore wind project. You will build the PMO structure, govern reporting and drive high-level decision making in collaboration with the CEO and project management team.

You will lead a ~10-person PMO, align planning, cost, risk, scope and QHSE, and develop processes and tools to deliver clear project insights. The role requires extensive PMO experience in large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within PMO, Project Controls or project management in large-scale projects (typically 10+ years).
• Led PMO or project support teams or similar and know how to build collaboration.
• Solid people leadership experience, including leading and developing diverse teams.
• Experience working closely with senior leadership and ability to influence constructively.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear communication and decision material.
• Experience from infrastructure, energy or offshore projects (advantage).
• Experience with multi-stakeholder environments and Joint Ventures (advantage).
• Degree in engineering, business or related field.
• Knowledge of structured project execution and stage-gate models and PM processes (PMP, IPMA).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PMO, ensuring governance, reporting and cross-project collaboration.
• Create foundation for clear and well-informed decisions with the team.
• Drive executive reporting to senior management and Boards; turn complex data into clear insights.
• Ensure readiness for tollgates, governance processes and escalation points.
• Support through structured analysis, scenario development and recommendations; act as trusted partner to CEO and senior stakeholders.
• Align planning, cost, risk, scope and QHSE for a consistent project overview.
• Develop and improve PMO processes, tools and ways of working throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and lead a PMO team of ~10 colleagues with diverse backgrounds.
