Job summary

Nebius is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve the platform that sits between our core infrastructure and the teams building on top of it. You will set the direction for how Nebius exposes compute, storage, and networking with a focus on reliability, scalability, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven track record running platform engineering at scale with reliable delivery.
• Entrepreneurial background: built or stood up a new function in ambiguous environments.
• Deep fluency in platform and infrastructure engineering: compute orchestration, cloud-native architecture, observability, CI/CD.
• Experience with datacentre infrastructure and capacity planning discussions.
• Comfort working with senior technical and executive stakeholders.
• Strong product and engineering judgement linking platform capability to developer velocity and customer value.
• Disciplined about commitments, flagging estimates clearly and avoiding over-promising.
• Willingness to travel across geographies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of platform engineers with a high bar for craft and delivery.
• Own the platform strategy and end-to-end roadmap between tooling, compute orchestration, APIs, observability, and self-service for engineers.
• Define and uphold reliability standards; own SLOs/SLAs important to internal/external users.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, datacentre operations, and product engineering to evolve abstractions with underlying infra.
• Translate business requirements into platform capabilities ensuring commercial viability and scale.
• Lead trade-off discussions on scope, architecture, and resources; own the ships.
• Turn high-level goals into structured initiatives with ownership, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Represent the platform with senior leaders, executives and enterprise customers across geographies.
