Job summary

Nebius B.V. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build Nebius Serverless AI, a GPU-native platform for deploying inference endpoints, batch jobs, and AI workloads at scale.

The role is senior and high‑ownership: you will own architecture, drive hard design decisions, and raise the bar through reviews and proactive collaboration with product and infra teams. Hybrid work from Amsterdam or London.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with distributed systems experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Golang or willingness to switch quickly.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong distributed-systems instincts: consistency vs availability, backpressure.
• Experience designing and operating high-throughput, low-latency services.
• Ability to work end-to-end and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core components of the Serverless platform: the control plane, scheduler, runtime, autoscaler, and the APIs customers integrate against.
• Own the hardest engineering problems: cold-start latency, GPU scheduling under contention, multi-tenant isolation, fair-share quotas, edge routing.
• Set the technical direction for your areas: write design docs and align the team behind the chosen approach.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews and architecture reviews.
• Run the service like an SRE: define SLOs, observability, and incident response.
• Collaborate with customers and product infra teams to map needs to a coherent technical roadmap.
