Withthegrid is seeking a platform/devops engineer to build and secure the infrastructure for our cleantech products. You will migrate services from AWS to European cloud providers, deploy Kubernetes, and ensure reliability and security of the platform.

You will support ~30 engineers, keep systems resilient, and contribute to the energy transition in a high-impact sector. Core focus includes Linux, networks, storage, and modern infrastructure practices.

Competenze

• Linux fundamentals, networking and storage management.
• Kubernetes internals and running clustered data systems.
• Programming in C-style languages.
• Proactive problem-solving and goal-oriented mindset with strong communication.
• Security management and cloud infrastructure experience.
• Collaboration with a large engineering team.

Mansioni

• Build new infrastructure (as code). Migrate from AWS to European providers.
• Ensure availability and resilience, able to survive provider loss and cold-start.
• Scale replicated, stateful systems in production.
• Be the infra counterpart for ~30 engineers, identifying their needs.
• Maintain security: vulnerability management, SBOMs, break-glass access.
• Work with Linux, networking, storage fundamentals and Jamf for macOS.
• Collaborate with CTO and engineers to improve infra and deployment processes.
