Job summary

Withthegrid in the Netherlands (Utrecht) is seeking a Platform/DevOps Engineer to build and secure the infrastructure that powers our Asset Monitoring Platform and Teleport Gateway. You’ll migrate services from AWS to a European, self-hosted stack (Forgejo) and deploy Kubernetes across European providers, while collaborating closely with engineers and the CTO to scale reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Deep fundamentals in Linux, networking, and storage; understands read/write paths, replication and durability.
• Proficient in at least one C-style language; comfortable with NodeJS tasks.
• Proactive, independent with strong communication in English; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build new infrastructure (as code) and migrate off AWS to European providers.
• Keep infrastructure available and resilient to provider loss or cold start.
• Scale stateful, replicated production systems.
• Be the infra partner for ~30 engineers and define their needs (Kubernetes, containers, Dev environment).
• Maintain security through vulnerability management and SBOMs.
