Job summary

Middle Point is seeking an experienced CADMATIC Engineer with a strong background in piping systems and technical arrangements for naval projects. Design, model, and optimize 3D piping layouts and equipment spaces to meet stringent project requirements.

You will collaborate with system specialists, procurement and production teams, ensure compliance with safety and maintainability standards, and contribute to design reviews. English communication is essential; Dutch language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 3 years of shipbuilding engineering experience.
• Hands-on CADMATIC or comparable 2D/3D CAD software experience.
• Experience in piping design, equipment layouts and technical arrangements.
• Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
• EU citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize 3D piping systems and equipment layouts using CADMATIC.
• Translate technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare 3D models, technical drawings and production documentation.
• Integrate piping systems and equipment within technical spaces.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility, maintainability and safety requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, identify clashes and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with system specialists, procurement and production teams.
• Check designs against project specs, regulations and quality standards.
• Suggest improvements to enhance design quality and efficiency.
