Job summary

Damen Naval in the Netherlands is seeking an Allround CADMATIC Engineer to develop and optimize integrated ship designs in CADMATIC, focusing on piping systems and technical spaces.

You will collaborate with system specialists, safety engineers, maintainability experts, and other disciplines to ensure proper integration, considering maintainability, ergonomics, and safety.

This temporary role offers hybrid work flexibility and opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge vessel projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least three years of relevant engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with CADMATIC or comparable 2D/3D CAD software.
• Experience with the design and integration of piping systems, equipment, and technical spaces.
• Experience on complex engineering projects, preferably ships.
• Good command of English; Dutch language is an advantage.
• Pre-employment security screening is standard in recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize 3D designs for piping systems, equipment, and technical spaces within CADMATIC.
• Translate technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Develop basic engineering packages including 3D models, drawings, and production information.
• Ensure effective integration of piping systems, equipment and other components with other disciplines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and propose improvements.
• Work with system specialists, engineers, procurement, production and other stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables meet requirements, quality standards and project objectives.
