Job summary

Damen Naval is seeking an Allround CADMATIC Engineer (interim) to develop and optimize integrated ship designs in CADMATIC, focusing on piping systems and technical spaces. You will translate requirements into practical 3D solutions and work with system specialists to ensure maintainability, safety, and effective interfaces.

You will deliver 3D models, drawings, and production information while coordinating with procurement, production, and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
• At least three years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within shipbuilding, offshore, or other maritime environments.
• Hands-on experience with CADMATIC or comparable 2D/3D CAD software.
• Experience with design and integration of piping systems, equipment, and technical spaces.
• Experience working on complex engineering projects.
• Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
• Excellent references and a pre-employment security screening is standard.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize 3D designs for piping systems, equipment, and technical spaces within CADMATIC.
• Analyze technical specifications and requirements and translate them into practical and feasible engineering solutions.
• Develop basic engineering packages, including 3D models, drawings, and production information, in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.
• Ensure effective integration of piping systems, equipment, and other components within technical spaces while considering interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, identify potential design conflicts, and propose improvements to optimize the overall vessel design.
• Work closely with system specialists, engineers, procurement, production, and other internal and external stakeholders, providing technical advice and communicating design solutions effectively.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet applicable requirements, regulations, quality standards, and project objectives while contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
