Job summary

Middle Point is seeking an experienced CADMATIC Engineer with a strong background in piping systems and technical arrangements for naval projects. Design, model, and optimize 3D piping layouts and equipment spaces to meet stringent project requirements.

You will collaborate with system specialists, procurement and production teams, ensure compliance with safety and maintainability standards, and contribute to design reviews. English communication is essential; Dutch language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 3 years of shipbuilding engineering experience.
• Hands-on CADMATIC or comparable 2D/3D CAD software experience.
• Experience in piping design, equipment layouts and technical arrangements.
• Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
• EU citizenship required.

• Translate technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare 3D models, technical drawings and production documentation.
• Integrate piping systems and equipment within technical spaces.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility, maintainability, ergonomics and safety requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, identify clashes and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with system specialists, engineers, procurement and production teams.
• Check designs against project specifications, regulations and quality standards.
• Suggest improvements to enhance design quality and efficiency.

Job requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience in shipbuilding
• Hands-on experience with CADMATIC or comparable 2D/3D CAD software.
• Experience in piping design, equipment layouts and technical arrangements.
• Good understanding of system integration, accessibility, maintainability and safety.
• Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
• EU citizenship required due to the nature of naval defence projects.

Conditions

• An attractive annual gross salary of €52,000–€79,300,- depending on experience.
