Job summary

Damen Naval, the naval division of Damen Shipyards Group, seeks an Allround CADMATIC Engineer to develop and optimize ship designs within CADMATIC. You will translate requirements into 3D solutions for piping systems and spaces, collaborating with system specialists and other disciplines to ensure safe, maintainable, and deliverable designs.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in naval or maritime engineering, strong CADMATIC experience, and excellent English; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in shipbuilding, offshore, or maritime environments.
• Hands-on experience with CADMATIC or comparable 2D/3D CAD software.
• Experience with design and integration of piping systems, equipment, and technical spaces.
• Excellent English; Dutch is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize 3D CAD designs for piping systems, equipment, and technical spaces in CADMATIC.
• Translate technical requirements into practical, feasible engineering solutions.
• Create basic engineering packages (3D models, drawings, production information) per standards and project needs.
• Ensure integration with other disciplines and maintainability considerations.
• Participate in design reviews and propose improvements to optimize vessel design.
• Collaborate with system specialists, engineers, procurement and production to communicate solutions.
