Job summary

THORIZON in the Netherlands seeks a System Qualification Lead & Lab Manager to own the experimental operations behind our Pilot programme. You will ensure readiness across laboratories in Eindhoven, Zeeland, Mol and beyond, turning engineering into reliable, repeatable experiments in line with nuclear safety standards.

Qualifications

• Solid experience managing operations in the Netherlands, ideally in a technically complex, regulated or industrial environment.
• Experience across engineering and project teams, turning technical plans into operational reality.
• Experience in a laboratory, testing or experimental environment is a strong plus.
• Structured planning, budgeting, reporting and follow-up.
• Ability to anticipate issues and mitigate.
• Familiarity with quality and problem-solving methodologies (DFMEA, root-cause analysis, 8D).
• Fluency in written and spoken English; French or Dutch is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational lifecycle of Pilot systems from engineering delivery to decommissioning.
• Build the operating framework, quality standards and protocols for labs.
• Lead and develop the operational team, including qualification of operators.
• Coordinate external partners and ensure clear interfaces and delivery.
• Report progress, risks and results to management with transparency.
