Job summary

Delft University of Technology invites applications for a four-year PhD position in the CO2URAGE programme, focusing on scale-up of energy storage via sorption-enhanced CO2 conversion to fuels and chemicals. The project combines experimental work with advanced in-situ measurements.

You will work within the Process & Energy department, collaborate with TU Delft, TNO and industry, and be enrolled in the TU Delft Graduate School with a tailored training program.

Qualifications

  • MSc degree in Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering, Applied physics, or related field.
  • Experience with measurements and reactor modeling and/or CFD.
  • Fluent in English; willing to learn Dutch.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and perform experimental work for scale-up of energy storage via sorption-enhanced CO2 conversion.
  • Collaborate with TU Delft, TNO, and industry partners.
  • Develop reactor models and CFD for process optimization.
  • Assess and document results with rigorous analysis.
