TU/e invites a PhD researcher to advance PETs for data-center power delivery, bridging high-voltage engineering, AI-driven design, and industrial collaboration. You will work in the EPE group with Delta Energy System GmbH, focusing on >99.5% efficiency, >10kV operation, and copper reduction.

You will enroll as a PhD candidate, develop advanced transformer architectures, and validate findings through simulations and lab tests on state-of-the-art platforms, contributing to sustainable AI

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Power Electronics, High-Voltage Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; research attitude.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-frequency transformer architectures for data-center applications.
• Model partial discharge behavior and develop predictive PD models.
• Validate designs via simulations and experimental testing; collaborate with industry partners.
