Job description

Performance Marketeer at Webbers (Amsterdam, hybrid, 32-40 hrs)

Start in operations on our AI-agent setup, grow into owning your own accounts within a year.

The role

At Webbers, AI agents run the performance operation. As Performance Marketeer you don’t spend your days inside campaign dashboards: you direct an agent setup that does the daily work across search and social, you check and correct what it produces, and you use the time that frees up for what agents can’t do: understand the client’s business, set the growth plan, and find the next improvement.

What a week looks like once you’re up to speed, about six months in:
  • Monday is weekstart. Your agents have already pulled the data and flagged what moved on every account; you decide where to act, what to elevate and what to test.
  • You review what the agents propose (budgets, bids, search terms, audiences), approve or correct it, and feed those corrections back into our SOPs so the setup gets smarter every week.
  • You run your own accounts as the account owner: you know the growth target, where we stand against it, and what has to happen this quarter. Client calls are yours.
  • You look for leverage: which client could hit its growth goal a quarter earlier, which manual step still exists that shouldn’t, which new channel or AI feature deserves a test.
  • You work with our creative team on what performance needs from them (hooks, formats, landing pages, email flows) and on what the data tells them.
  • Four hours a week you work on the setup itself: new skills for the agents, better checks, more automation.
How you get there:
  • Q1: Foundation. Two weeks of onboarding: the business goals and numbers behind our clients, our tracking standards, our SOPs for search and social, and how we work with creative and CRM. Then execution under review, with the agent running alongside you. By the end of Q1 you can run every account by hand and you understand what the agent does and why.
  • Q2: The AI leap. You take over the agent setup and run your accounts with it yourself. This is where you make the efficiency jump we want to be known for.
  • Q3 and Q4: Own accounts. You become the point of contact for your first clients: client communication, growth plan, reporting. Target: three own accounts by the end of year one. Initiative is the path here, not a bonus: show you can carry accounts and you get them.

The role suits you if you’d rather direct the work than do all of it by hand, and if you want a route from operations to account ownership that is written down rather than hoped for.

Who we are looking for
  • Around 2 years of hands‑on experience in paid ads: search or social, both is a plus
  • Comfortable with GA4 and GTM: you can read a tag setup and spot when a number is wrong
  • Email/CRM experience is a plus
  • Account management or client‑facing experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Dutch or English speaking; Dutch is a plus
  • Independent and entrepreneurial: you think in client numbers, not only in channels, and you take initiative without waiting for permission
  • Curious about AI and automation: you want to build workflows, not only use tools
  • Experience with scale‑up or e‑commerce clients is a plus; you should want the pace of small, growing companies
Guidance

Weekly 1-on-1 within the performance team in Q1, bi‑weekly after that. Monthly 1-on-1 with the CMO. Weekstart and reviews with the team. You learn the AI setup from the person who built it.

How we work and where we are heading

We work performance-wide: the client’s goals decide the channel mix, not our expertise. Our operation runs on an AI agent set up with our own SOPs, scripts and guardrails, and we test new advertising options within AI channels as they appear. Every week, four hours are blocked for everyone in the team to improve how we work with AI; what you build there becomes part of how we run accounts. Every month we hold a strategy session on performance, creative and innovation. Alongside Webbers, the founders are building Bise, an AI platform for e‑commerce; performance grows along with what that means for our clients.

About Webbers

A young, dynamic agency: a small team of specialised marketers and developers working for scale‑up e‑commerce brands. Compact enough to see everything, broad enough to work across performance, creative and development at once. You report into the performance team.

What we offer
  • Salary €3,200 to €3,800 gross per month (40 hours), depending on experience and the platforms you bring
  • Salary review when you take on your first own accounts, and annually after that
  • 25 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance
  • 32-40 hours; hybrid: three days at the office, two at home
  • MacBook, bike plan and travel allowance
  • 10% learning time: four hours a week blocked to make our AI and agent setup smarter
  • AI tools budget for the subscriptions you choose
  • Start 1 January 2027 (1 February at the latest)
Process

Intro call (20-30 min) with the performance team, then an interview (60 min) with the performance team and the CMO, including a live look at a real account, then a decision within a week. The whole process takes three weeks.
