Job summary

MatchWornShirt in Amsterdam is seeking a Performance Marketing Intern to join our digital marketing team and help scale campaigns across paid channels. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to paid media strategy, performance analysis and creative briefing, while contributing to customer acquisition for fans and collectors.

You’ll work on campaign setup, testing, reporting and collaboration with our external agency, with a friendly, sporty, international team.

Qualifications

• Currently studying toward a degree in Marketing or another relevant field.
• Ready for a full-time internship starting in [Add: month] for [Add: duration].
• A proactive, hands-on self-starter with a total can-do attitude and great attention to detail.
• A genuine love for sports, football and fan culture.
• 1+ years' experience in marketing, digital advertising, ecommerce or similar is preferable, with strong interest in digital marketing and data analysis, especially paid social and SEA.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); any extra languages are a bonus.
• EU passport holder or currently enrolled at a university in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run and optimise campaigns across paid media channels with regular A/B tests.
• Monitor and analyse performance across strategy, creative, copy and audiences; generate reports.
• Write detailed creative briefs for in-house production of assets.
• Coordinate with external digital marketing agency to implement plans and shape strategy.
• Help plan upcoming campaigns and maintain the paid media calendar.

About the role

As our Performance Marketing Intern, you'll support our digital marketing team in bringing campaigns to life across our paid channels (Google Ads, Paid Social, Display and more), contributing to our full-funnel marketing efforts with a focus on customer acquisition.

You'll get hands-on experience working directly with our team, getting complete exposure to paid media strategy, performance analysis and creative briefing, and seeing your work directly shape how fans and collectors experience live sporting moments!

What you'll do

• Campaign Setup & Optimisation: Set up, run and optimise campaigns across our paid media channels, running regular A/B tests to keep improving performance.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyse performance across strategy, creative, copy and audiences, generating reporting that feeds directly into our next move.
• Creative Briefing: Write detailed creative briefs to help our in-house creative team produce high-quality, market-tailored assets.
• Agency Collaboration: Join regular meetings with our external digital marketing agency, helping coordinate the implementation of paid media plans and shape short and long-term strategy.
• Campaign Planning & Calendar: Assist in planning and strategising upcoming campaigns and help maintain the paid media calendar, keeping everything on track and aligned with wider marketing initiatives.

What you bring

• Education: Currently studying towards a degree in Marketing or another relevant field.

• Sports Passion: A genuine love for sports, football and fan culture.
• Skills: 1+ years' experience in marketing, digital advertising, ecommerce or similar is preferable, with a deep interest in digital marketing and data analysis, particularly paid social and SEA; experience in a sports-related industry is a strong advantage, but not essential.
• Languages: Fluent in English (both written and spoken); any extra languages are a bonus!
• Legal: EU passport holder or currently enrolled at a university in the Netherlands.
