Job summary

JD Sports Fashion plc in Amsterdam seeks a People Relations Advisor to deliver generalist HR support for the Netherlands market. You will provide first-line advice on disciplinary, absence management, grievances and policy interpretation, working with line managers and a broader People team to ensure compliant employee relations.

You will travel to stores and support 38 hours per week in a hybrid setup. The role requires a degree or EQF6, strong HR experience, and solid knowledge of Dutch

Qualifications

• Requires completed academic degree or EQF level 6, Level 4-5 considered with relevant HR experience.
• Essential HR/People Advisor experience, preferably in retail or fast-paced environments with high-volume cases.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch employment legislation and People Relations policies/procedures.
• Ability to document interactions accurately and take minutes in formal meetings.
• Strong MS Excel skills to build HR dashboards (retention, turnover, absenteeism).

Responsibilities

• Provide first line employee relations advice to Line Managers and colleagues.
• Act as case manager for long-term sickness, disputes, disciplinary cases and policy interpretation.
• Coach colleagues to resolve employee relations matters with guidance from People Relations team.
• Maintain audit trails for People records in line with GDPR.
• Visit stores to provide on-site coaching to Retail leadership teams.
