Job summary

Remote is seeking a Payroll Specialist Lead to own end-to-end payroll processes for the Netherlands within our Global Payroll Operations Team. You will ensure data integrity, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive improvements in a largely asynchronous, remote-first environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, with collaboration across Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering. Fluency in English is essential, and prior AFAS exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for the Netherlands payroll landscape.
• Manage relationships with Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineers.
• Process full end-to-end payroll in-house, handle filings, approvals, payments and compliance.
• Ensure data integrity and quality across payroll data and reports.
• Prepare payroll journals and reconciliations.
• Focus on KPIs and SLAs to improve payroll operations.
• Mentor and support payroll specialists on the team.
• Back up regional managers during absences.
