You will champion AI-native development tools, guide architectural decisions, and collaborate with leadership to advance technical directions while maintaining flexible UK-friendly schedules.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expert knowledge of Ruby on Rails (production level).
• Experience leading/mentoring small engineering teams and setting standards.
• Hands-on with AI-native development tools and AI-assisted coding workflows.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong engineering culture and standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a distributed team.
• Review AI-assisted workflows to ensure quality, security, and reliability.
• Define development processes, conventions and collaboration practices.
