Job summary

A leading manufacturing company is seeking an Outsourcing and Work Preparation Specialist located in Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. This role involves coordinating with external suppliers and preparing production documentation to ensure efficiency in the manufacturing process. Ideal candidates should have a technical vocational degree along with 3-7 years of relevant experience in sheet-metal fabrication or CNC machining and possess strong communication skills. Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in sheet‑metal fabrication and/or CNC machining.
• Knowledge of after‑treatments such as powder coating and glass bead blasting.
• Strong skills in reading drawings, tolerances, and materials.

• Monitor supplier performance in quality, cost and delivery.

Outsourcing and Work Preparation Specialist

Are you a technically skilled, hands‑on professional who enjoys working with both external suppliers and our shop floor teams? Do you thrive in an environment where accuracy, manufacturability and smooth production flow go hand in hand? Then this dual role might be exactly what you’re looking for.

In this position you combine two key responsibilities: managing outsourced manufacturing and preparing clear, practical documentation for our internal production.

What will you be doing?

• Outsourcing (approx. 2 days per week)
• Coordinate with suppliers for sheet metal work, machining and surface treatments.
• Prepare outsourcing packages (drawings, BOMs, technical requirements).
• Review quotations and give input on manufacturability and pricing.
• Monitor supplier performance in quality, cost and delivery.
• Ensure outsourced parts meet all technical standards and certifications.
• Support audits and improvement of the external supply base.
• Work Preparation (approx. 3 days per week)
• Translate engineering drawings into clear production documentation.
• Prepare routings, operation sheets and material lists.
• Suggest improvements to enhance manufacturability and efficiency.
• Define needed tools, fixtures and fabrication steps.

• Experience with ERP systems (JDE is a plus).
