Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES is seeking an allround Operator for its Katwijk production facility. You will operate and adjust packaging lines, perform changeovers and monitor performance to keep the lines running safely and efficiently.

In this hands‑on role, you will troubleshoot minor issues, collaborate with the technical team for more complex faults, and ensure quality and safety checks are completed during production, contributing to daily targets and a clean, safe workplace.

Qualifications

• LBO/MBO level education or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in production, packaging or operator roles.
• Experience operating production or packaging machinery.
• Comfortable troubleshooting minor technical problems.
• Willingness to work in a 3-shift system.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety.
• Awareness of allergen management and Food Defense principles.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and hygiene.
• Reliable, practical and a good team player.
• Willingness to learn through on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products are correctly packed and prepared for shipment.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities with packing employees and assistant operators.
• Follow production planning and contribute to achieving daily targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised production environment.
• Communicate clearly during shift handovers and report relevant production issues.

Our client is a growing food production company in the Katwijk area, specialised in the production and packaging of frozen food products. Within the production environment, quality, food safety, efficiency and teamwork are central.

You will work in a professional production facility where operators play an important role in keeping the packaging process running safely, efficiently and according to plan.

About the position

As an allround Operator, you are responsible for the smooth operation of the packaging lines. You will operate and adjust the machinery, perform changeovers and keep a close eye on the production process.

You will also be expected to identify and resolve minor technical issues yourself and involve the technical team when a problem requires further support.

This is a hands‑on production role for someone who enjoys working with machinery, taking responsibility and working as part of a team.

The position is based in Katwijk and operates in a 3-shift system.
