Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in the Netherlands seeks a Lead Worker (Meewerkend Voorman) for the Oudkarspel production site. You will combine hands-on production work with coordinating and coaching colleagues to ensure production runs safely, efficiently and on plan.

You will work in a 2-shift system and become a key contact for operators and team leaders during your shift. There is potential to be taken over by the client and join their team directly after the agency period.

Qualifications

• MBO level required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in production/food manufacturing.
• Experience with HACCP and Food Defence.
• Knowledge of allergens and food safety.
• Comfortable giving safety and work instructions to colleagues.
• Proficient Dutch language (spoken and written).
• Hands-on, pragmatic and decisive approach.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Quality- and results-oriented mindset.
• Willing to work in a 2-shift system.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities and distribute work across the team.
• Work hands-on in production, preparation and/or packaging.
• Guide, coach and motivate employees and temporary workers.
• Give safety and work instructions and ensure procedures are followed.
• Monitor product quality, food safety and production standards.
• Identify and resolve operational issues and minor technical disturbances.
• Escalate complex technical problems to the Technical Department and provide a clear initial fault analysis.
• Maintain and improve standards such as 5S and SMED.
• Support the training and development of new and existing employees.
• Keep work instructions and procedures up to date and report deviations.
• Work closely with Production, Packaging & Logistics, QESH and Technical Maintenance.
• Ensure the workplace remains safe, clean and organised.
