Job summary

TheCompany in the Netherlands is seeking a Packaging Operator to join a three-shift operation. You will set up, run, and monitor packaging lines and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient production aligned with quality standards.

You collaborate with operators and supervisors to meet production targets and maintain food safety and process continuity. The role requires HACCP knowledge, food safety awareness, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

  • LBO/MBO level working and thinking ability.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or food production environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards.
  • Understanding of Food Defense requirements.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and safety instructions.
  • Awareness of allergen management within food production environments.
  • Willingness to complete on-the-job training and continuously develop technical skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve basic equipment malfunctions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work a rotating 3-shift schedule: 07:15 - 15:15, 15:15 - 23:15, 23:15 - 07:15.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, adjust, and monitor packaging, case-forming, and palletizing equipment.
  • Ensure packaging lines run efficiently and take corrective action when process deviations occur.
  • Perform quality, food safety, and operational checks while recording results per procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues; escalate complex problems to maintenance.
  • Coordinate daily activities with packaging operators and support staff on the production line.
  • Ensure products are packed, labeled, and palletized correctly per schedules and customer requirements.
  • Monitor product flow and maintain operational continuity to achieve targets.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, food safety, quality, and workplace safety.
  • Participate in shift handovers and communicate status, issues, and priorities.

RoleDescription

As a Packaging Operator, you play a key role in the production and packaging process of frozen food products. You are responsible for operating, setting up, adjusting, and monitoring packaging lines and related equipment to ensure products are packed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. Using your technical skills and attention to detail, you help maintain smooth production flow and ensure orders are completed according to plan. Working within a three-shift operation, you collaborate closely with packaging employees, assistant operators, and supervisors to support production targets, food safety requirements, and continuous operational efficiency.
