Job summary

Park Plaza Eindhoven is seeking an Operations Management Intern to join its dynamic hotel team. You will work closely with the General Manager, department heads, and operations staff to gain hands-on experience in hotel operations, leadership activities, and commercial initiatives while supporting day-to-day operations across multiple departments.

Requirements include being enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Hospitality or Hotel Management, availability for at least five months, and

• Provide operational support to Front Office, F&B, Meetings & Events, and Housekeeping.
• Assist department heads with administration, planning, scheduling and quality checks.
• Contribute to improving commercial and operational performance via sales initiatives and events.
• Participate in meetings, projects and leadership activities as part of the internship.

As an Operations Management Intern, you will be positioned at the heart of the hotel operation. Working closely with the General Manager, department heads, and operational teams, this internship offers real exposure to leadership, decision-making, and coordination within a professional hotel environment. You will gain hands-on experience in hotel operations, leadership activities, and commercial initiatives while supporting the day-to-day operation across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in daily operations and leadership tasks, gaining insight into hotel-wide decision-making.
• Work closely with all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and a consistent guest experience.
• Provide operational support to departments such as Front Office, Food & Beverage, Meetings & Events, and Housekeeping, depending on business needs.
• Assist department heads with management activities such as administration, planning, scheduling, quality checks, and operational follow-up.
• Contribute to improving commercial and operational performance by supporting sales initiatives, events, promotions, and new ideas.
• Actively participate in meetings, projects, and leadership activities as part of your internship programme.

Essential requirements

• Registered with a recognised educational institution for a leadership, hospitality, or management internship.
• Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor's programme, or enrolled in a Master's programme, preferably in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Available for an internship duration of at least 5 months.
• Strong interest in leadership, hotel operations, and hospitality management.
• Willingness to support both management projects and operational activities across the hotel.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a professional, proactive attitude.

Preferred requirements

• Previous internship or work experience in hospitality or a service-driven environment.
• Interest in commercial performance, leadership development, and process improvement.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic operational environment and adapting to changing priorities.
