Job summary

HQ Plastics is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to steer daily production performance and drive professionalization across the plant. You will lead Shift Leaders, ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets, and translate strategic aims into practical actions on the shop floor.

You will shape the future of manufacturing at HQ Plastics by coaching teams, implementing Lean and Operational Excellence projects, and collaborating with Quality, Production Planning, and Engineering to

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with machining and precision manufacturing processes (plastics, metal, or wood).
Proven experience managing multiple teams or team leaders.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience working with ERP systems and KPI-driven operations.
Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

Lead the production organization through Team Leaders.
Drive and improve KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Coach, develop, and evaluate team leaders within the operation.
Manage capacity, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
Initiate and implement Lean and Operational Excellence improvement projects.
Identify operational risks and develop improvement and growth plans.
Contribute actively to the management team and the continued development of HQ Plastics.
