Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily plant operations, drive safety, quality and productivity, and lead teams across multiple shifts. This leadership role supports our employee-owners and ESOP program while ensuring policies and procedures are followed to maximize performance.

The candidate will mentor teams, coordinate with HR for staffing, interface with customers, and continually improve KPIs.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years’ experience leading a multi-shift production facility.
• Proven leadership experience is required.
• Strong business acumen including P&L, strategic planning, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize operational goals; manage projects to meet goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with HR to recruit and retain exceptional talent.
• Mentor team members and develop future leaders within the company.
• Interact with customers to resolve issues and communicate action plans.
• Set annual performance goals and drive improvement in key KPIs.
• Write and present memos, letters, emails, reports and presentations.
• Communicate effectively in writing and speech, using appropriate language and tone.
