PearlAbyss EU B.V. is seeking a highly performing Operations Coordinator who is fluent in English and Korean to help expand our games across Europe.

The role sits at the crossroads of LiveOps, Marketing, PR, and product teams, coordinating cross-functional efforts and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate will manage translations, communications between our Korea HQ and European stakeholders, and support multiple titles including Black Desert and upcoming projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent proven work experience in translation.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Korean language.

Responsibilities

• Bilingual in English and Korean language is mandatory (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Coordinate communication between South-Korean HQ and European office stakeholders (PR, Live-Ops, Marketing).
• Translate internal documents such as content updates, patch notes, and planning documents for marketing and PR.

Pearl Abyss — the team behind Black Desert — is seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented and customer-obsessed, Korean and English-speaking Operations Coordinator to help accelerate our gaming reach to millions of customers across all screens (PC, Mobile, Console, etc.) in Europe.

The Operations Coordinator will be in a highly collaborative role, creative, and work with results-oriented teams -- LiveOps, Marketing, Public Relations, etc. They will be disciplined to adhere to production schedules and meet deadlines.

You will join a lean but dedicated team working across multiple communities, platforms and games such as Black Desert, Shadow Arena and upcoming releases such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and PLAN 8. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to ensure all Pearl Abyss current and future titles will achieve European goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Bilingual in English and Korean language is mandatory (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Effectively and independently handle communication through various channels between our South-Korean HQ and our European office’s stakeholders (PR, Live-Ops, Marketing, etc.)
• Translate internal documents. Specifically, translate content updates, plans, patch notes, community reports, planning documents for marketing, public relations, marketing assets, and internal slack or e-mail communications.
• Take care of ad-hoc projects as needed
• Other duties as assigned in and outside of translation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent proven work experience in translation
• Bilingual fluency in English and Korean language
• Ability to excel in a team environment, ability to build/maintain positive relationships through strong collaboration efforts.

• Ability to quickly adapt to different fields of expertise to assist various colleagues
• Ability to "roll up their sleeves" and have a mindset to get any job done
• Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend hours would be required. Applicable compensatory time off or compensation will be provided in accordance with local laws and company policies.
