Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a chemical production facility in Moerdijk. This role requires a strong background in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in industrial environments and will be responsible for maintaining production equipment and supporting maintenance activities. This is a freelance position with an 18-month contract, focused on ensuring site safety and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in mechanical maintenance within industrial environments.
• Strong experience working with rotating equipment and industrial machinery.
• Experience working in chemical, manufacturing or heavy industrial plants.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults on pumps, compressors, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Carry out alignment, bearing replacements and mechanical repairs.
• Inspect and maintain valves, piping systems and mechanical assemblies.
• Support planned shutdowns and maintenance campaigns.
