Job summary

Allseas in Delft is seeking a Junior Heavy Lift Engineer to join the Heavy Lift Engineering team. You will contribute to installation engineering for offshore wind structures, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers and drafting professionals.

The role involves design calculations, development of lifting tools, and on-site support during yard and offshore operations, with opportunities to advance in energy transition projects.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Willing to travel and work offshore.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare project specifications for offshore transportation and installation operations.
• Prepare design calculations and reports for heavy lift design work.
• Develop procedures and manuals for load-out, transfer, mooring, tow, installation and transportation.
• Interface with project team, vessel crew, clients, subcontractors, and authorities.
• Contribute new solutions for energy transition in offshore wind.
• Perform FEED and feasibility studies for large topsides and jackets.
• Prepare method and execution statements for bids.
• Design lifting gear such as spreader bars and pad eyes.
• Inspect fabrication yards to confirm feasibility of proposed installation methodology.
• Prepare factory acceptance tests for project equipment.
