Job summary

U-People seeks a Cable Installation Engineer for a permanent role in South Holland, the Netherlands. You will support tender and project teams with engineering expertise in cable installation during both preparation and execution phases of offshore projects.

Responsibilities include performing analyses to develop safe methodologies, collaborating on reports and specifications, reviewing project requirements, monitoring activities, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in offshore industry, preferably offshore wind.
• Experience with OrcaFlex for cable installation analyses.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable installation analyses to develop safe, efficient installation methods.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review reports, specs, calculations.
• Review project specifications and provide engineering comments and queries.
• Monitor progress of engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers.
